Botanical subjects have been illustrated for thousands of years and the present day genre of botanical art encompasses the portrayal of plants, fruits, seeds and flowers, in a variety of ways.

 Sarah's botanical paintings and illustrations ensure that scientific accuracy and detail is maintained, whilst being aesthetically pleasing to the viewer

In each of her paintings and illustrations she seeks to engage the viewer into the 'story' of the subject and in some cases the surrounding habitat too.
